Menikmati Hiburan Multimedia Format : Convert flv to avi Di Linux

Dalam era digital saat ini, distribusi konten hiburan digital sudah sangat beragam. Taruhlah untuk video. Begitu banyak format video yang digunakan untuk mendistribusikan konten-konten hiburan (film dan lain-lain). Permasalahannya adalah, tidak semua sistem operasi secara default mendukung format-format multimedia popular (baru), katakanlah seperti flash flv dan quicktime 3gp.

Solusinya sebenarnya mudah, cari saja aplikasi pemutar format multimedia lengkap, atau codec multimedia yang lengkap. Namun seringkali, kita tetap menginginkan menyimpan koleksi file multimedia kita dalam format tertentu, dengan tujuan, bisa dinikmati oleh banyak rekan yang lain (yang belum tentu memiliki software multimedia lengkap).

Lalu bagaiamana? Tentu mudah! Kita membutuhkan software converter untuk mengkonversi file multimedia dari format ini ke format itu, sebagai misal dari 3gp ke avi.

Di windows, aplikasi converter file multimedia cukup banyak pilihannya. Di Linux pun, walau belum banyak pilihannya, sebenarnya sangat powerful untuk software converter file multimedia. Beberapa yang terkenal adalah ffmpeg dan mencoder. Hanya saja, kedua software tersebut masih berbasis teks untuk menggunakannya, dan tentu tidak praktis!

Adakah front-end grafisnya? Ada! Kita bisa menggunakan avidemux! Adakah yang lebih simpel? Saya lebih memilih menggunakan sebuah aplikasi free untuk windows yang bernama pazera. Aplikasi ini merupakan front-end grafis dari ffmpeg untuk windows (loh!). Yah, sebenarnya pazera dikembangkan dari software Linux, tetapi justru front-end grafisnya tersedia untuk windows. Namun bukan masalah!

Pazera bisa dijalankan dengan sempurna oleh wine. Kita hanya perlu mendownload pazera (dalam bentuk zip), mengekstraksinya, dan menjalankannya dengan wine.

$ wine mp4toavi.exe

$ wine 3gptoavi.exe

$ wine flvtoavi.exe

Kenapa beda-beda? Yap! Pazera dibuat detil sesuai format yang akan di konversi, ada pazera mp4toavi, pazera flvtoavi dan pazera 3gptoavi. Cara menggunakan aplikasi ini sangat simpel sekali. Format output yang didukung adalah avi dan mpg.

KDE is one of the oldest desktop environment in Linux.
