Since its release, I've been a Lubuntu big fan. The main reason why I admire Lubuntu is because of its lightweight and runs great in old CPUs (Pentium 4, Pentium 3) but with modern look and functionality.
Now, I am using Lubuntu 11.10 Oneiric Ocelot but I wasn't patient enough to wait for Lubuntu 12.04 LTS so I tried it and I was so amazed. The big change of course in its artwork. Here are the changes :
LXDM replaced by LightDM with Greeter (like in Xubuntu). It is absolutely awesome and elegant.
Ozone 3 Theme. This is the new Lubuntu theme with both gtk2 and gtk3 support. I can say about this theme : unbelievable awesome. This is masterpiece. At first look, Ozone 3 Theme looks similar to KDE 4.8.
Mplayer replaced by Mplayer2 as backend of GNOME Mplayer. This is great of course, because Mplayer2 is the future successor for Mplayer. It runs great and still fast in my old Pentium 4 CPU.
Because of its beta stage, I decided not to install it as my default desktop, but amazingly, I could install its artwork into my Lubuntu 11.10 Oneiric Ocelot. And now, I am -once again- falling in love deeply with Lubuntu Ubuntu+LXDE.
Long live Linux, Long Live Ubuntu, Long Live Lubuntu :)
