Today, there are so many games that support Linux natively. Even, there are some high quality and high level 3D games now come to Linux world. But, is there any native Soccer (Football) game in Linux? I could say : not much yet! One of the today existed Soccer game in Linux is named Yoda Soccer . A cute and interactive soccer game for Linux :) As usual, as an Ubuntu user, I packed the game into a debian package so I could install it easily in the future with ease. Angry Birds Rio is a spin-off of the new-legendary game Angry Birds. This plot is specially taken from popular animation film Rio, an adventure of a pet Blue macaw bird from US in Brazilian jungle. Based on that successful film, there are some game developers created a spin-off for Angry Birds game called Angry Birds Rio. The good news about this is, there is already a flash version of this game so we could play it in Linux desktop easily using flashplayer (standalone player, or by Internet Browser with flashplayer plugin). And just like what I've done before in Angry Animals game, I've packed this game too into Debian package so we could install it with ease. If you have had installed flashplayer standalone, you don't have to download and install it. But, if you haven't it yet, you have to download the flashplayer standalone to play this game. Angry Birds is a new legendary game. It came first in iOS world and then spread widely into another Operating Systems. If we use Windows, we could get this game easily (there is already a Windows version). For Linux users, we could also install it easily using Wine. The native Linux version is not presented yet so we should be patient for this :) But apparently, there is a game developer Flashninjaclan has developed an Angry Birds clone flash game and could be played easily in any browser and in any operating system, using adobe flashplayer plugin. This game is awesome, but playing it in an internet browser is not cool. So, there is a Zarko Zivanov has made a script to download this game, download an adobe flashplayer standalone, and then create a desktop shortcut. Di desktop Linux, banyak sekali pilihan game free untuk sekedar mengisi kekosongan waktu kita, atau untuk membuang sedikit kejenuhan setelah lama bekerja di depan komputer. Namun, dalam dunia komputasi, ada kelompok user yang memang interest, addicted dan kemudian focused pada dunia game komputer. Kelompok user inilah yang kemudian disebut gamers. Karena kesukaan pada games, mereka rela membeli hardware yang mahal untuk bisa bermain game 3D yang berat dan memiliki interface memuaskan. Untuk hal ini, belum banyak perusahaan pengembang game 3D yang mengembangkan game komersial untuk desktop Linux. Karena kondisi itulah, gamers yang mencoba menggunakan atau mencoba bermigrasi ke desktop Linux akan sedikit mengalami kesulitan. Jalan keluar satu-satunya adalah menggunakan emulator wine. Namun begitu, karena sifat wine yang free, untuk meng-optimized wine agar bisa menjalankan game-game 3D windows secara sempurna di butuhkan proses oprekisasi yang cukup rumit....

Seringkali kita mendapai kesuntukan dalam bekerja di depan komputer. Ada banyak pilihan untuk sedikit menghibur diri dengan desktop Linux kita. Kalau kita ada koneksi internet, tentu kita bisa ber-facebook atau googling mencari bacaan-bacaan ringan. Alternatif lain (dan kalau kita tak ada koneksi internet) adalah bermain game. Di lingkungan desktop Linux, ada banyak sekali pilihan game, baik yang ringan maupun yang agak berat. Salah satu game yang cukup saya sukai karena keringanannya dan ke-lucu-annya adalah Frozen Bubble! Game ini hampir mirip dengan jenis-jenis game Zuma Deluxe, cuma tokoh yang ada adalah si maskot Linux Tux Penguin dengan versi wajah yang lebih imut. Permainan Frozen Bubble sangat sederhana. Kita hanya perlu menembakan bola dengan warna yang sesuai dengan deretan bola yang keluar dari atas. Mirip dengan Zuma. Letak kesegaraanya tentu pada tokoh Tux yang menembakan bola dengan tuas.
